This Privacy Policy explains how the MaritimeHub Maritime Warnings mobile application (“the App”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.
The App provides access to NAVAREA, Coastal, Local, and NAVTEX maritime warnings, including map viewing, offline caching, printable reports, and ECDIS user-chart export functions.

The App does not contain advertising SDKs and does not use personal information for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
The App may request access to the device’s location when the user activates a location-based function such as “Where am I”.

It is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.
Maritime warning information displayed by the App may originate from third-party maritime information providers and official maritime warning sources.
This information relates to maritime safety and navigation and does not contain personal information supplied by the user.
The App stores downloaded maritime warning data in the App’s private local storage.

This storage allows the App to load warnings faster and provide limited offline access when an internet connection is unavailable.

The App may generate printable reports and ECDIS user-chart files.
Saving or printing these files occurs only after the user selects the relevant function.
The Android system print service or Android document picker may be used to allow the user to select where the file will be printed or saved.

The App does not automatically upload exported PDF, XML, or ECDIS files to the developer’s server.

The App uses Google Cloud infrastructure to deliver maritime warning information.
Google Cloud may process limited technical information according to its own privacy and security practices.
The App may also display maritime warning information originating from external maritime data providers. These providers supply navigational warning content and do not receive the user’s device location from the App.
Locally cached warning information remains on the user’s device until it is updated, cleared, removed by the operating system, or deleted when the App is uninstalled.
Limited server and infrastructure logs may be retained for operational, diagnostic, security, or legal purposes according to the configuration and retention practices of the hosting provider.
The developer does not maintain a database of user accounts or user location histories.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect the App and its online services.
The App uses secure network connections where supported and stores cached warning information inside the App’s private storage area.
However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The App is intended primarily for maritime professionals, seafarers, navigators, and persons interested in maritime safety information.
The App is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13.
The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The App does not replace official navigational warnings, approved nautical publications, mandatory bridge procedures, ECDIS procedures, Notices to Mariners, NAVTEX receivers, SafetyNET, or other official Maritime Safety Information services.
Users must verify all information using official and approved navigational sources before using it for navigation.
